Hi! I recently bought the Very Hungry Caterpillar bedding for my toddler son’s room. Its adorable! Problem is I can’t find any corresponding wall art to decorate the rest of his room with. The artwork itself seems a very simple design, and while I could probably freehand the caterpillar and butterfly on his walls, I’m a bit scared to do anything so permanent. Any ideas on how to create a large caterpillar and medium butterfly using easy to find materials? Felt, tissue paper, whatever. I welcome your ideas and concepts! You could really have a lot of fun, incorporating the food, the sun, etc… found in the book!

My son is four and my daughter is three we just moved into our new house on the army base and i am trying to make it feel like home by doing some cute painting and decorating..so i need some cute ideas for their room they have brown twin beds and the walls are white right now i need some cute colors that will work for the both of them not only wall paint but bedding colors as well can u please help me anyone…….. I am very creative but im stumped on this one…..

Okay, I am only in my 10th week and don’t know yet whether I am having a girl or boy. But I found the *cutest* nursery theme stuff with pink butterflies online! They have matching lampshades, nightlights, crib set, growth chart, etc..

But it is pretty girly and I would only want to use it for a girl, but I am afraid if I wait till I find out what I’m having it will be sold out. My husband of course would rather we have "sports" or "racecars" as theme for the nursery (uggh!)

I am thinking if it IS a boy, I can return it, right? Or should I hold off till things are more certain? When did YOU buy your nursery stuff and did you already know your baby’s sex?

Although nursery chandeliers can be functional, for the most part they are a way to show off your design skills in the nursery. Nursery chandeliers can be as simple as a lighted airplane or race car hanging from the ceiling, or as intricate as a crystal chandelier. Whatever form of chandelier you choose for your nursery, it is sure to be eye catching for your baby as well as your guests.

The majority of nursery chandeliers will require mounting and electrical wiring. This task may be even more difficult if you have chosen to add a dimmer switch to be able to manipulate the amount of light put off by your nursery chandelier. The costs of adding a chandelier to your nursery may be prohibitive, as you will not only be purchasing your nursery chandelier, but also hiring an electrician to properly wire and mount your eye catching centerpiece of the nursery.

While there are nursery chandeliers in the $75 range, more intricate chandeliers will run upwards of $600. Of course custom made chandeliers will be even more expensive. Styles of nursery chandeliers are as varied as nursery themes, and since they will not be cost effective, you should take your time when deciding which chandelier to purchase.

Crystal chandeliers provide the classic look, while also adding an elegant look to the nursery. These chandeliers can accent just about any color scheme, but could clash with certain nursery themes. High end crystal chandeliers will run into the thousands of dollars and may be very delicate. You will want to be certain that this style of nursery chandelier is well out of your baby’s reach at all times, including when you hold baby or put baby to bed.

Themed nursery chandeliers can be quite creative and very fun to look at. Make sure of the construction of these chandeliers before purchasing, as some will be cheaply manufactured and very delicate and fragile. If you want to purchase a themed nursery chandelier, you should make sure you are going to keep the theme for quite some time, you don’t want to constantly be replacing such a high end purchase.

Remember that you will also need a nursery nightlight. Since your nursery chandeliers will almost inevitably be over the crib, the light will shine on baby and into baby’s eyes. Even with your nursery chandeliers dimmed to a slight glow, this could damage baby’s eyes when sleeping, as the eyelids are very thin until baby is 24 months old.
