So my daughter is moving into her new toddler bed and room and I would like to decorate it for her.Im not sure how i want to go about it though. I CAN paint the walls and I can really do anything I want. I was thinking polka dots or stripes..Just not sure if you have any websites or tips to share that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I can’t tell if this chandelier is the kind where the cord hangs from an s hook and then plugs into the wall… or if it’s the kind that I can replace the existing ceiling lamp with by wiring it in?

I really have no idea, but I wanted to replace the ugly ceiling lamp in my baby’s nursery with this cute chandelier, rather than having an ugly ceiling lamp plus a chandelier.

I am just curious I love looking at photos and hearing new ideas. I am not used to being stuck in bed and haven’t been able to sleep very much yet (Still on that high).

We chose not to know the gender and were surprised with a girl, so excited because everyone in the family has boys so far!

We have a neutral base so that we could just customize it once she was born. http://www.flickr.com/photos/35022529@N05/3393447743/in/photostream/
Originally I wanted to work with the black and white bedding but was finding it very difficult I had been looking at this set before but didn’t want to get it in case baby was a boy
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2925540

It inspired the theme of Little Birds, both of our mothers chipped in and bought us the bedding and the wall art shown in the picture as a gift

I am now in the process of making more artwork for her (I love drawing and sewing its helping me unwind somewhat though every time I try to picture it all together I can’t wait)
Doing this to go over her crib http://www.urbanchild.com.au/store/pc/Mooo-Bird-Intial-Wall-Art-Pink-Choc-62p369.htm with her initial

Also want to do up the lyrics to three little birds, not sure if I want to do a tapestry or a wall stencil or simply frame it, we love that song and think it fits with the theme

Also doing a distressed looking white chandelier with adjustable brightness

I hope it ends up having a vintage and cozy feel, opinions or sharing what you did for your nursery would be greatly appreciated :)
Also doing a pink rug, cream curtains with a sheer pink overlay and using a brown rocker, going to try to make some cushions with the little birds on them when I am able
Firewater_Tears – very good point we will definitely do up some photos for Keeley’s room

Would like to keep it inexpensive. Would also like to make it personal. He is only 15 months old right now so crafts are out.
I need stuff for the walls. The room is filed with toys and a cute rug.
